Massive meets academia

Massive recently attended a workshop together with Io Interactive and researchers from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Malmö University and the Copenhagen IT University. The workshop was called “Playtesting, Game Design & Player Communities” and focused on computer games research and the effects of social communities has on games. Participants shared practices and information on areas like playtesting, user research, player behaviour and community dynamics.

The workshop combined the practical experiences from the industry with the more theoretical approaches of academia, bringing the two closer together and providing an insight into what is happening behind the scenes. It was a great learning experience and Massive looks forward to future workshops and collaborations.
