Lead Tech Programmer [Avatar Project]
At Massive, we are currently looking for a passionate Lead Tech Programmer to contribute to the development of the programming team for the Avatar Project. As our new Lead Tech Programmer, you are the expert on how to setup and drive a team in both conceptual and production phases as well as guiding the team to deliver great results across the process. You will work both with your team and hands on in the code to get the best results.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite.
• Leading and managing a team of tech programmers
• Ensuring quality and efficiency for the code, the tools and the over-all process

You as a person
You have a few years of experience as a lead or senior tech programmer, which makes you an independent and proficient coder, and you’re looking for a new opportunity. As a lead you are well organized, like to be on top of things and find the success of your team very important. You have the ability to anticipate and find solutions to problems that may occur within the team and project. You strive to have effective workflows for production. You have a passion for implementing interesting and challenging systems. You enjoy coaching and mentoring other programmers
• 4+ years of tech programming including deep knowledge and understanding of game engine architectures and inner workings
• Experience with leading and managing a team – knowledge of the pitfalls and key learnings of driving a team forward on an expanding project
• Ability to review and feedback on teams work in a clear and constructive manner
• Experience on working with console game development
